Technologists at WorldQuant research, design, code, test and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. The Role: Our group is looking for a seasoned Full Stack developer to work in a high performance business-embedded tech team. You will be building complex data pipelines and frameworks for strategy and performance analytics, and have the opportunity to drive the architecture and develop complex frontends which deliver a great user experience to Portfolio Managers and Researchers. A successful candidate will bring strong software engineering fundamentals and design / implementation principles, and ability to quickly acquire in-depth domain knowledge.
- 5+ years of Python experience
- Experience building Scalable and robust services
- Knowledge of React, Redux, TypeScript or related technologies
- Exposure to SQL, and OLAP/OLTP DBs
- Experience with CI/CD and Docker or containerized deployments
- Excellent debugging and problem solving
Advantage:
- Experience with Kubernetes or Distributed systems is a bug plus (dask, ray, Celery, Kafka, Cassandra)
- Experience with micro-services, monitoring, caching, data visualization, log collection and aggregation, search, queuing systems is a plus
- Experience with Cloud is a plus
- Finance experience is a plus
