The Role: The Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development of our systems. A successful candidate will help design, implement, test, deploy and monitor production systems using Agile methodology under close collaboration with other teams. The candidate will need to study and apply new cutting edge technology in a relatively short time. The goal is to produce a system that is agile, scalable and fault tolerant as we continue to grow in size and sophistication. This person will follow coding best practices, participate in code and design reviews and be a strong advocate for coding excellence.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline from top university (computer science, engineering, etc)
- At least 3 years’ experience in developing scalable and robust web-based applications with exposure to back-end technology stacks
- Excellent Python coding skill and familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, Pytest is required.
- Experience with architecting complex, robust, fault tolerant systems
- Experience with micro-services, queuing systems, distributed systems
- Experience with Domain driven development (DDD) and Test driven development (TDD)
- Demonstrated ability to build software and service on top of AWS/Kubernetes preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form, Command of the English language
- Excellent problem solving abilities and judgment with strong attention to detail
- Mature, proactive, with the ability to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture
